| 4. | Fundraising
· The total, including pledges, still stands at approximately £44,000. · DT obtained a quote for printing the Bale Christmas Card from Newprint but is waiting for clarification as to whether more than one design can be used in a bulk order. It was agreed that the cards would be too expensive if ordered in a smaller quantity and DT will chase so that a decision can be made as soon as possible. DT is working on ideas for the design. · Summer Fun 16.7.16 – PM reported that the event was deemed to be a success, with 26 tickets sold and approximately £300 raised. The money will be paid into the general Village Hall account, to be transferred to the Development account if necessary. The event is likely to repeated (as Spring Fling) next year when it is hoped that a convenient date can be found in order to have a sell-out evening (i.e. 36!) · Tractor Run 18.9.16 – MD will get rolls, bacon etc but would like volunteers to contribute cakes for the afternoon. AM AC & PM offered to do this. The route for the run is to be confirmed but AC agreed to make “direction boards” for the day. Raffle prizes are needed. · The “Grand Draw” raffle – It was agreed that tickets would be £1 each (£5 per book) and there will be cash prizes only of £300, £150 and £50. PT will get quotes on ticket printing (3,000-4,000 tickets) and they will be on sale from September to December, with the raffle being drawn at Christmas Fish & Chips (9th December).
