Bale church was delighted to welcome worshippers from other churches in the benefice for the 5th Sunday group service on 30th June. It was lovely to hear the organ played (many thanks to Geoff Scott from Binham for stepping in) and hymns sung in our beautiful building. Coffee and chat was enjoyed after the service for those not rushing off to start preparing the Sunday roast.
On a sad note, Richard Scott made it known at the end of the group service that he felt it was time to step down from his various duties at All Saints. His contribution will be very
much missed. Richard has been a member of the PCC and a Churchwarden for many, many years and has worked very hard behind the scenes to keep the church building in good repair, the churchyard maintained and everything prepared and ready for the regular communion services. Thank you, Richard, on behalf of the PCC and the village for everything you have done.
Communion services over the next two months are planned for 9.30am on Sundays 4th & 18th August and 1st & 15th September but please check the noticeboard outside the
church (or in the porch) or the village WhatsApp as a current shortage of clergy can sometimes mean changes to the schedule.
On 14th September we will be expecting a number of cyclists and walkers (or motorists) to visit the church as part of the Norfolk Churches Trust annual bike ride & walk. Participants are sponsored by friends and family to visit a number of North Norfolk churches, having nominated their own church to share the donations with the Trust. This organisation does a great deal to support and sustain the churches in our area. If you would like to have a day out visiting these beautiful, historic buildings whilst helping to ensure they remain for future generations, look for full details and sponsorship forms on the Trust website, norfolkchurchestrust.org.uk/bike-ride-walk/
